Abstract
ESPINOSA, Cecilia. Cuerpo y política: acerca de la palabra como técnica corporal. Avá [online]. 2013, n.22, pp.00-00. ISSN 1851-1694.
In this paper I present some results of the ethnographic work I have carried through for my Phd thesis, focusing on the articulations between gender and modes of participation and politicization within a “piquetera” organization. I intend to address the practice of speech as an activity which involves a bodily training, paying particular attention to gender relations: not only because of the persistent specializations it shapes, but also, the regular work on that dimension carried out by this organization. Analyzing a Campamento de Formación en Género (Gender Training Camp), I suggest considering, in terms of political and “mindful” bodies, a set of activities where a more classical process of training (on politics, on gender issues and feminist discussions) is articulated, not without tensions, with an specific training on body dimensions involved in participation, where taking the floor has a central value.
