Abstract

TELLO WEISS, Mariana. “Morir en vida”: Estados de existencia en las experiencias concentracionarias. Avá [online]. 2017, n.30, pp.81-104. ISSN 1851-1694.

This article analyzes, from an anthropological perspective, the meanings which the activists of armed organizations during the ‘70 who survived extermination camps give to life and death. Considering to pass through the concentration camp as a time-space where necropolitics were applied, the article aims to go in deep on the blur between life and death that this experience produces. Analyzing liminal states between life and death, the article aims to put light on more general phenomena, about transitional phases of existence -biological, social, juridical- that permits to understand different ways to live and die in our societies.

Keywords : Concentration camps; Necropolitics; Memories; Existence.
