Abstract

This article ethnographically discusses the ways in which is written about the death in the 1970s. These (inquiries) investigations are part of the fieldwork with morgue Envelopes in the Provincial Archive of Memory of Cordoba, Argentina, corresponding to the period covered from the 1st of January to January 31, 1975 and from March 1 to March 31, 1976 and Records of delivery of corpses from the Province of Tucumán in the first quarter of 1976. Through the questions derived from my field research around the ways of writing about bodies and cadavers in former documents, I query the possible "productive dimensions" of death, to continue with a theoretical-methodological perspective where this is not necessarily conceived as a conclusion or closure, but as a possible opening to new configurations -subjectivities- built through ways of doing and saying.
