In this text I analyze the manner in which a rapper from Buenos Aires maintains his career. The general idea is to understand how in an unstable social world, where Argentinian rap experiences a group of transformations (technological democratization, popularization, generation of artistic networks), a rapper can “live off rap.” Based on this issue, I put forward that distinct cycles of stabilization permitted the strengthening of his career, linked with a series of networks that operated on different scales and with the development of personal skills (musical, visual and managerial). After analyzing the trajectory of the case, I make a comparison with other cases to conclude marking the importance of emphasizing the dynamic relationship between the rapper and his surroundings.
