This article analyses the repositioning of the most vulnerable actors in the rural territory in the north of the province of Córdoba (Argentina) in the face of the effects generated by the advance of capital in agriculture. From a diachronic and ethnographic perspective, two complementary processes are evident: the historical and local construction of “collective” identity strategies and the reconfiguration of “traditional” political practices. Both processes are analyzed in the light of the experiences of the Peasant Movement of Córdoba (Movimiento Campesino de Córdoba), wich began in 1999. In this sense, the dynamics and tensions experiences by the members of the organization in their communitarian proposals for territorial work are explored, and the trajectory of the MCC in the resistance to the evictions of ancestral settlers is described.
