Abstract

ESTRUCH, Dolores  and  OYARZABAL, M. Cecilia. LA JUSTICIA Y LA ESPERA EN UNA JURISDICCIÓN COLONIAL EN LOS MÁRGENES DE LA MONARQUÍA, SAN SALVADOR DE JUJUY. Avá [online]. 2020, n.36, pp.65-88.  Epub July 20, 2020. ISSN 1851-1694.

In the colonial society, justice administration was established based on the iurisdictio principle, still valid in the Old Regime model, imported to América by the conquerors. It also nourished from a characteristic domestic temporal experience, shaped by long distances and by the way of acting of the social actors implied. This work is proposed as a reflection about the possibilities enabled by the waiting period for a justice sentence on two different social actors: elite members and native people, during the second half of XVII century and the first decade of the next century in the Jujuy Puna region.

Keywords : Iurisdictio; Justice; Waiting period; Jujuy.
