This article discusses the problem of ontologies within anthropology from an aesthetic approach. It considers the birth and consolidation of the western model of figuration based on perspective (western frame) and how this model has conditioned the way we interpret artistic expressions from other contexts. The article then discusses the configuration of other ontologies identified by anthropology on the aesthetic level, emphasizing the artistic expression of a particular Amerindian culture. Lastly, this essay proposes an ontological distinction not previously considered by anthropology.
