DE MIGUEL, Adriana; DE BIAGGI, María L.; ENRICO, Juliana  and  ROMAN, Mario S.. Normalismo, Written Culture and Resistence of Oral Culture in the History of Reading and Writing in Argentina. Cienc. docencia tecnol. [online]. 2007, n.34, pp.97-127. ISSN 1851-1716.

This paper focuses on the conflictive permanence of oral culture of creole population in Entre Ríos, in the context of the spreading of written culture, in connection with the development of the educational system led by the "Normalismo". The main documentary source studied is the Láinez survey, which enables the historical reconstruction of popular country creole culture during the first two decades of the twentieth century. Thus, the research is to be considered a first relevant contribution. Through the analysis of that documentary source, the reconstruction of an important process in the history of reading and writing, the education and culture in Entre Ríos was possible, with a potential impact on further national research and offering a deeper look on research lines already stated in former publications.

Keywords : History of education; Reading; Writing; Normalismo; Láinez survey.
