Abstract

VASQUEZ RIZO, Fredy Eduardo. Knowledge management model for measuring the productive capacity of research groups. Cienc. docencia tecnol. [online]. 2010, n.41, pp.101-125. ISSN 1851-1716.

Current organizations handle and produce several data and information. Many of these elements are underused or discarded when lacking the mechanisms and processes to transform them into useful knowledge. The study here presented was centered on data and information related with the research groups' productive capacity in a Colombian university (Universidad Autonoma de Occidente-UAO), using them for the generation of valuable knowledge through the construction of a model. Such model, which is based on indicators, allows to measure such productive capacity and to suggest some options to foster their possibilities of success in the Colombian summons for acknowledgment and measurement of research groups, established by the Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation -Colciencias.
