Abstract

BARREIRO, Alicia; BERAMENDI, Maite  and  ZUBIETA, Elena. Perverse norms in education? Contributions of social psychology: Contribuições da psicologia social. Cienc. docencia tecnol. [online]. 2011, n.42, pp.137-154. ISSN 1851-1716.

From a psychosocial perspective, the aim of this paper is to contribute to the understanding of how norms operate in Argentinean educational contexts and their relationship with the social emotional climate. The latter refers to people's collective emotions prevailing in their relationships with others and in their everyday contexts. Specifically, this paper explores the possibility of the existence of perverse norms in educational life by taking up the findings of three studies which show that type of mechanism in the education system. Finally, we propose to deepen the study of thedouble standards dynamics consequences, which can be considered as actions ofviolence and abuse.

Keywords : Education; Perverse rules; Socio emotional climate.
