This article reports the results of a study about students’ dropout at the early stages of their college career at an Argentinean university. Both, quantitative and qualitative data was analyzed with a mixed methods research approach, focusing on the perspectives from different population through students’ workshops, surveys and interviews. The analysis focused on those students who are not making it passed the College admissions process, and on those students who quit college during the first two years of their careers. In the first case, student dropout is mainly associated with external institutional factors. In the second case, early student dropout is associated to internal college dynamics. The study relies upon the analysis of quantitative data from College students in their Freshmen and Sophomore years.
