Abstract

The objective of this work was to investigate the different facilitating factors and obstacles of the process undergone by students of the Degree in Nutrition in the elaboration of their degree thesis, knowing that it means a great effort for them. We worked from a qualitative approach, based on in-depth interviews as a method of obtaining empirical information and the constant comparative method as a method of qualitative data analysis. Students who completed the dissertation during the period 2007-2013 were interviewed. The most significant results had to do fundamentally with the role of the institution in this process, in particular, as a support in training from participation in research teams and especially the role of tutors, assessors and evaluators in guiding this process.
