Abstract

BEKERMAN, Fabiana. Morfología del espacio científico-universitario argentino: una visión de largo plazo (1983-2014). Cienc. docencia tecnol. [online]. 2018, n.56, pp.18-46. ISSN 1851-1716.

Our starting point is constituted by a set of findings reached in previous works in relation to the historical development of scientific policies and the configuration of a particular distribution of research capacities (institutes and researchers) in the institutions that sustain science in the country: Conicet and National Public Universities. In this paper we propose, firstly, to analyze the structural changes that occurred in the scientific-university system that were configuring a space with strong asymmetries. Secondly, we focused on the particular development of the institutional structure of Conicet at three historical moments that meant substantial changes for this organization: 1983 (inheritance of the last military government), 1999 (consequence of policies of the 1990s) and 2014 (resulting of the modifications promoted during the last decades). The empirical work we presented was made on the basis of data matrices built ad hoc within the framework of pidaal3.

Keywords : Science policy; Research capacities; CONICET-National Universities; Disciplinary and regional structure; Institutional Asymmetries.
