Abstract

MARTIN, José P.. Marcus Aurelius: emperor philosopher whith christian citizens. Circe clás. mod. [online]. 2006, n.10, pp.195-215. ISSN 1851-1724.

A new reading of the philosophic writings of Marcus Aurelius will make possible compare his vision about the men and the world which those which had the christian citizens. The analysis of the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius will be good for contrastig the christian literature whith that of a roman government official who felt responsible to keep up, at the same time, the military power and the cultural tolerance of the Empire.
