Abstract

MIRANDA, Raquel. Classical Studies and Cultural Studies: Investigation, Problems and Perspectives. Circe clás. mod. [online]. 2006, n.10, pp.229-245. ISSN 1851-1724.

This article focuses on the possible links between Classical Studies and Cultural Studies, that implies to profit from the contemporary cultural material and the scholar's own historical and cultural position to illuminate the ancient texts. The possibility to generate a new academic proposal inside the traditional and secular field of Classical Studies would be a way to extend the field of work and promote a space of cultural production and formation.

Keywords : Classical studies; Cultural studies; Investigation; Problems; Perspectives.
