This article proposes a study of tourism philosophy, through the theory of paradigms proposed by Thomas Kuhn and so it is an advance to the epistemological studies of the phenomenon. The importance of this is study is the fact that there is a lack of epistemological studies on the scientific production of tourism, fact that debilitates this area of study. To help in the comprehension of the theoretical studies in tourism we propose a new division of the tourism theories
