Tourism and Real Estate Business: the Crisis of a Development Model.  Three Case Studies from Canada, Argentina and Spain. The linkage between tourism-real estate businesses with amenity or lifestyle migration tends to incubate rationality problems. Besides those related to environmental aspects is the turning unworkable the socio-economic logic of the process. To illustrate this argument some critical reflections based on experience of what is happening in three regions of the world: Western Canada, Argentina’s Northern Patagonia and southeastern Spain are proposed. This article explores the lack of sustainability of such of development model based on tourism-real estate business, while identifying common patterns and differences between the cases analyzed.
