Abstract

The paper brings to the study of tourism texts about the search for the meaning of life and spiritual unconsciousness, under the bias of the 3rd Viennese School of Psychotherapy; about the importance of this search of meaning by the peregrine for planning the religious tourism and understanding the human root of the tourist at the integrality of the human being. Understandings about religious tourism are recovered in order to have them close to the official documents of the Catholic Church regarding tourism, analyzing how they contribute for recognizing the person-peregrine looking for meaning, by means of its displacements. The research is a theoretical review of qualitative nature and its results contribute to explain the targets of the first catholic texts about tourism and to question the value of planning the destiny of the religious tourism when this concept is not associated with the religious doctrine involved.
