Resumen

RUBIO HERNANDEZ, Alfonso. The archives of evil: A speech without an author? Ildefonso Nalda Nájera in Archiv der KZ-Gedenkstätte Mauthausen. Inf. cult. soc. [online]. 2019, n.41, pp.57-80. ISSN 1514-8327.  http://dx.doi.org/10.34096/ics.i41.6592.

From the meaning of “archive” found in the Archaeology of Knowledge by Michel Foucault and the interpretations that Giorgio Agamben makes of it in What Remains of Auschwitz, We present some considerations on the concept of author in which we have called “archives of evil”, referring with this expression to documentary sets resulting from situations or regimes favor the creation of dissimilar scenarios of violence. These archives which generally originated in the exercise of institutional functions, today are part of the funds of the commonly called “historical memory centers” and the exercise of democratic rights must be implemented. The biography of Ildefonso Nalda Nájera, who died in the Mauthausen Concentration Camp and the Archiv der KZ-Gedenkstätte Mauthausen, that now holds documents and objects related to the Concentration Camp, constitute the model that has guided this exhibition.
