Abstract

DEMATTEIS, Massimiliano. Typification and identification of Vernonia pseudolinearifolia (Vernonieae, Asteraceae). Bol. Soc. Argent. Bot. [online]. 2005, vol.40, n.3-4, pp.307-310. ISSN 1851-2372.

Vernonia pseudolinearifolia Hieron. (Vernonieae, Asteraceae) from northern Uruguay is described, typified and illustrated for the first time. This species that was ignored in previous treatments for the tribe, is compared with its related taxa V. linearifolia Less. Character for its identity, such as length of leaves, phyllaries number and achenes size, as well as distribution and habitat are given.
