A revision of Senecio filaginoides DC., based on the treatment made by A. L. Cabrera and Cabrera with coworkers, in successive works from 1949 to 1999, is carried on. The validity of the variety lobulatus Cabrera and the identity of the taxa considered by Cabrera as synonyms of S. filaginoides var. filaginoides and S. filaginoides var. lobulatus is discussed. Three species, S. caricifolius, S. leuciscus, and S. quenselii are resurrected. The species are described and a key to differentiate them is included.
