Pollen of apicultural interest from northwest of Santa Cruz (Argentinean Patagonia): morphological aspects. Fourteen pollen types identified in honeys and pollen loads of Apis mellifera L. in the northwest of Santa Cruz Province are described and illustrated by means of LM and SEM photomicrographs. Pollen types belong to the following families: Apiaceae, Asteraceae, Caryophyllaceae, Cupressaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Iridaceae, Onagraceae, Schoephiaceae, Tropaeolaceae, Ulmaceae and Valerianaceae.
