The increasingly common self-destructive or harmful behaviors, among adolescents and young adults with psychiatric complexity and potentially life risk, requires early diagnosis and multidisciplinary management. Triggers different motivations stemming from emotional immaturity to confront stressful situations, they should be identified as mental comorbidities for early and effective approach.
