Abstract

Infantile digital fibromatosis or inclusion body fibromatosis is a rare entity, which is characterized by a benign proliferation of myofibroblast cells that form nodules on the back of the fingers or feet of children. It has a distinctive histological picture and a tendency to recur; some may regress spontaneously without treatment. I present the case of a 7-month-old, that from birth has a small nodular tumors on the tips of his fingers; histology showed a proliferation of beams intertwined spindle cells with vesicular nuclei, in which cytoplasm showed eosinophilic inclusion bodies stained with Masson trichrome staining.
