Abstract

Psoriasis is a chronic systemic inflammatory disease, genetically based and immunologically mediated.

This time, a case is reported in a 66-year-old female patient with a diagnosis of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis with no favorable clinical response to various topical and systemic treatments, concurrently presenting with latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI).

Biological systemic treatment (Secukinumab) was decided as a therapeutic strategy. Taking into account the importance of the correct evaluation regarding the possibility of Tuberculosis (TBC) because it represents a current global challenge in prescribing biologicals.
