Abstract

The "MagellanStrait" was the most far and inhospitable place of the New World, during the Spanish colonization process. In this paper I study a corpus wrote by those who participated or commanded three expeditions: Fernando de Magallanes (1519), Juan de Ladrillero (1557) and Pedro Sarmiento de Gamboa (1579 and 1581).
