Abstract

STAPICH, Elena Elsa  and  CANON, Mila Alicia. Childhood, reading and market. Rev. Pilquen [online]. 2011, n.14, pp.00-00. ISSN 1851-3123.

The aim of the following work is to analyze the conceptions of reader and of literature that writers sustain, focusing in those that write for children, in the controversial crossing between the publishing market and the school market that generates a certain literary canon. On the last years there has been a summit of the investigation in the field of the infantile and juvenile literature, and critics and investigators of different disciplines have dedicated themselves to study the impact of the literature in the children and teenagers, so much in their culture as in their subjective and social formation. Therefore we try to give a response to the problem across the voices of those who write for the children and they work in the publishing field too. A brief survey was designed and sent to a group of Argentine writers to realize this investigation. The interpretation of the conclusions was realized by the contribution of theoretical material on the topic.

Keywords : Childhood; Reading; Canon; Market; School.
