The main goals of this work are to identified and measure the clusters of Rio Negro Province economy as well as to verify their incidence on economic growth. In this work we adopt the cluster as unit of analysis because of its amplitude to capture a wide range of cases. The economic clusters considered are: agrindustry, tourism, energy, knowledge-based industries. The methodology consists in the reconstruction of clusters starting from economic branches included in the National Classification of Economic Activities (CLANAE, 2004) which were use in the calculation of Geographical Gross Product (PGB), source of data. The work attempts to outline the main features of Rio Negro economy and explain its growth through the analysis of its clusters.
