The purpose of this article is to comment on the literature posted by Pablo Gerchunoff on the history of Argentine economic policy. It is argued that the author provides a hermeneutics of this academic discipline for the period between the constitutional organization of the country to the present day. Besides, it is considered that this perspective is a research program for the social sciences as a whole.
