Abstract

DELUPI, Baal. The construction of the political imaginary of the magazine Pasado y Presente in the Argentine social discourse of 1963-1965. Rev. Pilquen. secc. cienc. soc. [online]. 2021, vol.24, n.4, pp.16-31. ISSN 1851-3123.

The magazine Pasado y Presente was one of the most emblematic intellectual productions in Argentine history. José María Aricó, Oscar del Barco, Héctor Schmucler, Juan Carlos Portantiero, among other relevant thinkers in the cultural and political field, published this magazine in 1963 and 1965 (in Córdoba, in its first appearance), and then in 1973 (in Buenos Aires, in its second stage). The objective of this work is to analyze the political imaginary that emerges from this discursive production, in its first moment, from socio-semiotic conceptual contributions, as part of the social discourse of an epoch (Angenot, 2010). We propose to analyze the first three numbers since we consider that it is the materiality where the objectives are condensed and the image of itself that this group projects. Three political imaginaries are identified as discursive regularities: "the young revolutionary", "the worker" and "the artistic-political".

Keywords : Social Discourse; Intellectuals; Past and Present; Political imaginary.
