Abstract
FERREYRA, Martín Alejandro and JOFRE, José Luis. La doble periferialidad del circuito petrolero mendocino. Ciclos hist. econ. soc. [online]. 2013, vol.21, n.41, pp.00-00. ISSN 1851-3735.
Abstract This paper aims to explain the recent evolution of hydrocarbon production circuit in Mendoza from a new perspective, starting with the first stage of the YPF's privatization process in the early nineties. The most of studies on this subject, interpret the oil industry as a national homogeneous reality, ie, assuming a direct correspondence between what happens at the level of social formation with regional reality, so they postpone the existing regional specificities. The hypothesis that guided this research argues that the evolution of the oil circuit in Mendoza is related to the institutional structure governing socioeconomic relations; and the structure resulting from different interests at stake for the economic agents involved in the process productive. Thus the different stages through which the circuit passes not only can be explained by global or exogenous causes but also by local causes -among others, the bourgeois practices Mendoza agribusiness, particularly the wine activities- which set the context of the particular institutional morphologies.
