This article consists of two parts. In the first, is a synthesis as complete as possible, the process of indebtness from Baring borrowing from 1824 to the present where it is to determine its causes and the behaviour of debtors and creditors. In the second, discussed the problems of legal sovereignty with respect to the payment of the debt from the recent actions of vulture funds and domestic sectors that support it, as well as the future projection of this issue for the country.
