Abstract

ASIAIN, Andrés. Alejandro Bunge (1880-1943: Un conservador defensor de la independencia económica y la soberanía nacional. Ciclos hist. econ. soc. [online]. 2014, vol.22, n.43, pp.00-00. ISSN 1851-3735.

The paper deals with the economic thinking of the engineer Alejandro Bunge (1880-1943), who is considered fundamental in the construction of economic ideas and practices that prevailed in Argentina and much of the rest of Latin America during the phase known as industrialization by import substitution. Despite his conservative background and belonging to one of the elite families lofty by the exporting agricultural model, Bunge detected the depletion of this scheme, and began to design the new mode of accumulation, which ruled in Argentina during the decades following his death.
