The phenomenon of trade union bureaucracy appears in the field of the institutions of the working class, that is, of the workers' movement. The form of conscience that corresponds to it is union or corporate awareness. The worker refers here to a collective, the one that results from the most direct economic determination, that is, the possession of one's own merchandise, the labor force. Sooner or later, to manage its pnce and control the conditions of use, the workers must create institutions and a permanent staff. This is where the trade union bureaucracy has its reason, in this objective need. We analyze here what the trade union bureaucracy is, to try after establishing its date of birth in Argentina, a way to rethink old problems, such as the rise of Peronism, among others.
