Abstract

BOLSI, Francisco. Familia, inserción social y comercio de exportación en Tucumán, 1780-1810: Una aproximanción a partir del comerciante peninsular Manuel Posse. Mem. am. [online]. 2012, n.20-2, pp.00-00. ISSN 1851-3751.

The transition from the Old Regime to the process of revolution and independence in the Río de la Plata has been widely studied by national and local historians and from different perspectives, related to political history, family history, judicial history, etc. This paper explores a transitional period based on Manuel Posse, a Peninsular merchant, and his social integration, business strategies and export trade between 1780 and 1810. The analysis takes into account the articulation of his matrimonial strategy with his final settlement in the city, the structuring of a commercial network around his family and the links of the first generation in the context of Tucumán.

Keywords : Family; Kinship; Peninsular trade.
