Abstract

MARTINEZ-DE LA CERDA, Jesús et al. Efecto residual del lodo en trigo (Triticum spp. L.): (con 2 cuadros). Phyton (B. Aires) [online]. 2004, vol.73, pp.237-242. ISSN 1851-5657.

The research was conducted at the "Dulces Nombres" wastewater treatment plant in the municipality of Pesquería N.L., Mexico. The residual effect of sewage sludge amended was studied regarding yield and heavy metal concentration in wheat grain in the second sowing season were maize was grown previously. Treatments consisted of liquid sewage sludge (8 t ha-1) and dewatered sewage sludge (4 y 8 t ha-1), inorganic fertilizer (113-70-00) and negative, in a randomized complete block design with four replications. Residual effect of liquidsewage sludge (8 t ha-1) and dewatered sewage sludge (8 t ha-1) were equal to inorganic fertilizer. Forage yield was superior when liquid sludge (8 t ha-1) and inorganic fertilizer were applied. Heavy metal concentration in wheat grain was below tolerance limit permitted between all the treatments.

Keywords : Absorption; heavy metals; organic matter; sewage sludge; wheat.
