Abstract

HELER, Mario. Essay on the Logic of the Exceeding. Estud. filos. práct. hist. ideas [online]. 2008, vol.10, n.1, pp.25-35. ISSN 1851-9490.

I intend to introduce one idea: the logic of the exceeding. Such introduction forces us to face different questions at one time, especially when one intends to do something with the thoughts, to generate a new view that enables new ways between thinking and doing, avoiding the crossroads of the usual thinking. I will then assume the challenge and bet on the shared interest for being producers and not mere consumers of ideas. It is precisely around the production issue that the idea of the logic of the exceeding occurs. I subscribe explicitly to the idea of thinking in a place, within a social-historical context resulting in a present philosophical thinking, in Argentina, Latin America, in the course of a global social transition; a thinking clearly different from that of the Academy philosophy. I oppose the logic of the exceeding to the logic of the excess representing two different ways of operating on the relation between production and consumption. In the logic of the excess production subordinates to consumption-consumption prevails. In the logic of the exceeding production supports the relation production-consumption as a dynamic element.

Keywords : Logic of the exceeding; Logic of the excess; Production; Consumption; Capitalism; Closure device.
