Abstract

DEVES-VALDES, Eduardo. Public expression and civil society in Our-America (NuestraAmérica): schema and "unit of analysis" for a common history and international insertion. Estud. filos. práct. hist. ideas [online]. 2016, vol.18, n.2, pp.29-44. ISSN 1851-9490.

This article deals with the constitution of a Latin American public expression, and with the possibilities of the concept to incorporate as a "unit of analysis" for a common regional history, where the knowledge-thought have a leading role. This highlights two dimensions: a conceptualization to treat it and an outline of the main historical landmarks. Thus, in the first part, some concepts are elaborated as: civil society, Latin American thought, public expression, unit of analysis; in the second, a historical account of the regional public expression is: people, groups, media, institutions that have been articulated above and beyond their territories of origin and their national belongings to understand and speak about the region; the third part tries to show some elaborations of "Nuestramerican" thinking about these landmarks, their thinkers and their proposals.
