Abstract

This article addresses the philosophical thinking of Alejandro Serrano Caldera about the nation in the Nicaragua context. To build the nation in Latin America starting of the hemispheric particularities it constitutes an urgency for our countries. The remarkable professor, originally from Masaya, has an extensive and substantive work that is enriched according to his continuous contributions, and fundamentally to the rising interest that awakens in universities, circles of intellectuals and leftist forces committed to social transformation. The aim of this work is to analyze philosophical thinking around the nation, based on the various valuations present in his work. Alejandro Serrano Caldera contributes a decolonized conception that allows to judge the nation and to formulate guidelines for its reconstruction in the Latin America Ours.
