In this article I analyze two prologues to the report Never Again, elaborated by the National Commission on the Disappearance in 1984. The first written by the commission, exposed the interpretation of the government of Alfonsín about the past of political violence and horror, postulated a new perspective about the identity of the missing persons and the role of the Argentine society in these facts. The second one elaborated by the Secretariat of Human rights of the Nation was added in 2006. The comparison will illustrate the changes and continuities in the memory of the recent past in the country.
