Abstract

Between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, Dolcino of Novara led one of the most famous movements of religious dissent in medieval West. The article addresses a structural analysis of a source of vital importance for dolciniana historiography: History fratris Dulcini heresiarche. This is the only testimony that relates the final events of Dolcino and his followers on hill Rubello, in the diocese of Vercelli in the early fourteenth century. It focuses on analyzing the source as historical narrative, seeking to dismantle the assembly make by the editor
