Abstract

The following paper offers a travel through representative items of the Argentine literature based on the concept of serendipity. Sarmiento's Facundo, Borges' "The death and the compass", Bioy Casares' "The celestial plot" and Piglia's Artificial respiration are analyzed from this perspective where something is found, precisely, when some other thing is sought
