The main goal of this paper is to provide information regarding the theoretical and methodological discussion on Argentine legislative politics. The analytical corpus is based on studies published by specialized journals and academic books on Argentine legislative politics between 1983-2010. The empirical evidence within this paper points out the association between the consolidation of political science in our country and the development of studies on Argentine legislative politics. Moreover, it reveals the growing influence of theories, methods and analysis of American legislative studies on Argentine legislative politics.
