This article studies the impact of legislative fragmentation inside the legislature of Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires in the agenda power of the Executive between the years 1997 and 2009. It compares the five legislatures included in the period under analysis, trying to test a series of hypothesis based in the assumptions and predictions of the literature that studies the influence of party fragmentation on the workings of presidential systems and on the agenda power of executives. The results of the empirical investigation provide evidence against a relationship between the two variables under study during the period in question, contradicting the original hypotheses and, therefore, the theoric expectations of the literature under consideration.
