The aim of this paper is to analyze comparatively the characteristics and styles of political leaderships and their dilemmas in Argentina and Chile, specifically, the presidencies of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and Sebastián Piñera, keeping in mind the analysis of De Riz about Argentina, of Garretón and Huneeus about Chile, and the analysis of the presidential action models and of the coalition goverments in the presidential system in Latin America.
