Abstract

MARCUZZI, Rosa María. PARTIDOS EN EL GOBIERNO: DEBILITAMIENTO DE LOS MECANISMOS DE ACCOUNTABILITY INTERNA DE LOS LIDERAZGOS PARTIDARIOS. ANÁLISIS COMPARADO DEL PARTIDO DE LOS TRABAJADORES DE BRASIL, EL FRENTE AMPLIO DE URUGUAY, EL FRENTE PARA LA VICTORIA DE ARGENTINA Y EL MOVIMIENTO ALIANZA PATRIA ALTIVA I SOBERANA DE ECUADOR. Postdata [online]. 2020, vol.25, n.2, pp.453-485. ISSN 1851-9601.

This article develops a comparative analysis of a phenomenon present in parties as political organizations that acceded to the national government: the weakening of the internal accountability mechanisms of partisan leadership against affiliates. The cases selected in the study include the Brazilian Workers’ Party, the Uruguay’s Broad Front, Argentina’s Front for Victory and Ecuador’s Alliance Altiva I Sovereign Movement, in its first periods of government. Based on the theoretical approach developed by Strom, the study proposes to contribute empirical evidence to deepen investigations into the dominance of parties in public offices and to problematize the conceptualization of the power party.

Keywords : political parties; Workers’ Party; Frente Amplio; Frente para la Victoria; Movimiento Alianza Patria Altiva I Soberana.
