Abstract

NAME, María Julia. The history we construct: Reflections from a research on the history of anthropology in Argentina. Runa [online]. 2012, vol.33, n.1, pp.53-69. ISSN 1851-9628.

In this paper we develop some theoretical and conceptual reflections on the work of anthropologists who investigate the history of their own discipline. Particularly, we analyze aspects related to the different "places" from which history is constructed and to the analytical categories used for this purpose, on the basis of proposals from a group of authors ascribed to this field. The article is part of an ongoing investigation about the history of medical anthropology in Argentina.

Keywords : Presentism/Historicism; External/Internal History; Genealogies; Lineages; Analysts/Practitioners.
