CONCHA MERLO, Pablo. Skills, tools and operational chains. Runa [online]. 2022, vol.43, n.1, pp.283-306. Epub 04-Feb-2022. ISSN 1851-9628. http://dx.doi.org/10.34096/runa.v43i1.7727.
Based on contributions from Anthropology of technique, the text analyzes and describes the technical convergences between skills, tools and materials, in the context of operational chains, through which the ax activity is developed. Since an ethnographically approaches, the article investigate the use of the ax, taking as empirical references to male members of a domestic farm in the Alberdi Department, located in the northeast of Santiago del Estero. This stall unit is of interest because the ax is used both for the production and commercialization of technical devices and woods supplies, as well as for the construction of structures that mediate the relationship between animals and humans in livestock farming processes.
