Abstract

FABRIZIO, María Laura. “The cooperative” of a schooll orchestra:. Runa [online]. 2022, vol.43, n.2, pp.361-378.  Epub June 27, 2022. ISSN 1851-9628.  http://dx.doi.org/10.34096/runa.v43i2.10420.

In this article we investigate one of the relationship most extensively addressed by anthropology, we refer to the relationship between families and children and youth education. In this way, from a position that understands these links as deeply heterogeneous, epochal and local, we approach a specific modality from an ethnographic approach: “the parent cooperative community”. Our analyzes are part of our doctoral research that ethnographically analyzes the processes of social intervention for the inclusion of children and youth, focusing on the socioeducational program “School Orchestras” of the province of Buenos Aires in Argentina. Thus, based on what is documented in the territory during our fieldwork (2016-2018) in wich we do participant observation and in-depth interviews with a variety of people (adults with dependent children and youth, teachers, children and youth, coordinators, preceptors) we problematize the category “participation” of adults in children and youth education, arguing that it is signified by the subjects in a differential way, it is framed by its conditions of possibility and must be analysed contextually. We will give an account of multiple presences of adults in wich they put into play their experiences, meanings regarding the state and the government, configuration processes and adjudication of obligations and responsibilities, thus producing local participation modalities.
