The issue of this article is the social perception of paramilitary power to neigh-borhood level after demobilization and reintegration process. Investigate the rea-sons that give acceptance or rejection of this specific type of social domination. To do social relations established in the post-confict scenario between paramilitary combatants and non-combatants are analyzed. This issue is addressed from the collection of various testimonies and observations made over eight years of eth-nographic approaches and key informant interviews process of social reintegra-tion of ex-combatants in paramilitary Moravia / Medellin, Colombia. As one of the presented findings stated that ex-combatants are identifed in their communities receiving simultaneously as violent subjects and as guarantors of the functioning of various spheres of local life: as agents of social control. It is also noted that the social control implemented by paramilitary groups at the local level has been exercised continuously over time, even after demobilization, because it is based on both the fear of population and values and socially recognized speeches. Resulting in a system of behavior that persists in non-confrontational relationship with the legal / state order.
